About Elite Fantasy Baseball

Elite Fantasy Players was created in 2007 with the goal of showcasing the best of the best in the world of fantasy sports. We are dedicated to establishing the worlds first professional fantasy sports league, and a home for the most fiercely dedicated fantasy players.

We've developed a system that cultivates the most competitive fantasy leagues available today, a place where rank is based solely on performance and nothing else. At the foundation of the Elite sytsem is a tiered hierarchy that promotes and demotes players based on their performance (see diagram below). Fantasy managers who want to prove they can compete with the best in the game are given the opportunity to advance through our ranks and stake their claim as one of the Elite.

We are currently accepting membership requests from active managers with all levels of experience for the 2009 Fantasy Baseball season. ESPN will play host to all of our leagues, and those looking to participate must be willing to register with ESPN (which is completely free). Throughout the season, Elite will monitor all leagues and post updated standings, podcasts and articles here on the website to promote our members and leagues.

While we expect our prizes to continue to grow with enrollment, we are NOT a money league. Though we do offer cash prizes to reward our top performers, please do not mistake Elite Fantasy Sports for a gambling site. Our goal is to offer all members an equal opportunity to rise through our ranks and make a name for themselves in the world of fantasy sports.

Elite Fantasy Players is still a work in progress, but our hope is that this site will grow into one of the most prestigious fantasy sports communities on the net. We are commited to keeping our leagues as competitive as possible while featuring todays best fantasy talent. If you're tired of beating up on the same weak competition year after, make 2009 the year you start your rise to fantasy stardom at Elite Fantasy Players.
